Reflections on the life lessons that Arrow has taught me:
- Approach life with passion -- especially for the little things. Like sticks.
- When a door is only partially open, there is no need to push your way through. You probably aren't welcome anyway.
- When facing a fear, make yourself look big (even if it's just making your hair stand on end).
- When faced with a pill that's difficult to swallow - you can always add peanut butter (unless you're Sally, then cheese is OK too).
- A little mud never hurt anyone.
- If something doesn't feel right, you can always shake it off.
- Why swim for one stick when, if you wait, you can get three or four?
Life is short. Live strong, play hard, and love deeply!

Alright I can't stand it, you need to write a book (illustrated of course) about this..I think you might have a hidden talent. too cute!
I had a long ride to Worcester yesterday, so I had a while to think about all the different things she's taught me :)
Poor Arrow. I remember her as a puppy when you'd visit us in Montague. She is such a wonderful dog. When I think about adopting a dog, I always hope I will find one as sweet as Arrow.
Hi Jen
She's still the sweetest dog! She's doing pretty good so far. We're keeping our fingers crossed!
They say it is not the destination but the journey that supplies wisdom. Perhaps the suffering that Arrow is enduring on her path to recovery is unspoken wisdom and instruction for us all. The posts of this blog are filled with emotion and memories not to mention support and spirituality. Arrow has quite possibly (single “paw”- dedly) reminded us all that no hurdle in life is too big to tackle, if you just take one step at time. A wonderful companion and friend, Arrow, has turned even this painful voyage into a valuable example of how we should all live… content and gracious.
Wishing you all…strength, peace and love.
Rachel P.
Thanks Rachael!
